Social media signals are powering search engine rankings. While once it was keywords, then it was PageRank, and link building, it’s certainly not about those things anymore. Today’s popular websites, and popular brands are active on Facebook, busy on Twitter, pinning their best images and infographics, and generally using social media platforms to reach out and engage potential customers. Tweets, likes, pins, shares, sends, etc— are what it takes to develop your business brand, and seen as relevant by the search engines.
