Compliance and Web Design
Did your Nephew, Uncle, Cousin or Sister build your existing website? Maybe you used a popular, “drag and drop” web page builder from goDaddy, or one of the other popular design-it-yourself companies. Then odds are you are probably not compliant with even simple things such as end-user agreements, disclosure of information collection practices, use of cookies, and on and on. What do you think? Are you sure? Is that one of the reasons you can’t crack the first page, or even the top five pages of search engine search results? It could be a factor indeed, and while you’re wondering, other companies are capitalizing on their existing search ranking by focusing on more advanced methods of marketing, such as email lists, Google AdWords, Facebook Ads, and other SEO techniques that work well.
Sure your basic website is great, but there sure are a lot of uncertainties, and invisibility when it comes to determining how well a website is going to attract traffic, and become self-perpetuating. Sites that are more professional, do not have a goDaddy label on them, or a “powered by” link in the footer simply have more appeal, and shows your potential customers that you value their visit, and your website isn’t simply an afterthought! There are a ton of moving parts to advanced, local SEO— and what Google, and other search engines are looking for can oftentimes be a moving target.
Probably Nail it Down
While this may seem a small matter, you should definitely know for sure. There’s absolutely zero reason to give the search engines any reasons to keep your website from reaching its full potential! It’s always best to hire a highly-qualified, local web designer such as those at Beach Web Design & IT Services. We have 24+ years of experience in IT, code and all things related to the Internet, and can assist you in branding, design, security, marketing, and everything in between. Our main point is there are many pitfalls when dealing and working with inexperienced designers! We’ll save the 2 million dollar insurance policy debate for another post! (Yes they should have it!)
Cheers!
